What is the minimum age to take part?

The minimum age to take part is 12. Particpiants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by some over the age of 18 who is also participating.

Is there a maximum age to take part?

There is no upper age limit. If you feel fit and healthy enough to take part, then you are very welcome! If you are unsure about your fitness please consult your GP first.

Do I need to be able to complete all 3 hours?

No! This is a charity event, and the number one priority is that you enjoy yourself. If you need to rest at any time that's fine, if you want to stop altogether that's fine. If you rest and feel better and want to join back in, that's fine!

Can I handle BODYCOMBAT?

Yes! BODYCOMBAT is an interval based program, so some tracks are going to feel tougher than others. Different tracks focus on different body parts. If you find a particular track hard, don't worry, the next one will be different!

Can I take part if I'm pregnant?

Unfortunately it is not recommended that you do BODYCOMBAT while you are pregnant, sorry.

Do I need to be really fit to take part?

You don't need to be crazy fit to take part, BODYCOMBAT is recommended for anyone with a moderate level of fitness. If are fit enough to go for a jog, or go to a Zumba class, then you will fine. However, if you are unsure please consult your GP first.

Do I need martial arts experience?

Not at all! BODYCOMBAT caters for all ages and abilities. The instructors show simpler and lower impact options for every move, so you can progress at your own pace.

Can I take part if I've never done BODYCOMBAT?

Yes! Our instructors will explain all the moves as they go along. If you don't fell like you understand, or can't keep up - don't panic, it's completely normal! As long as you're moving and having fun, that's all that matters. Remember, even if you're not keeping up with all the moves you are still burning calories, and raising money for great causes.
